Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.- concert at the Schaumburg Barnes and Noble benefiting Dooley’s PTA. More information is attached.
Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church (1000 S. Springinsguth Road) -EIM winter concert. Be there are 6:30 for tuning and warm up. Fifth grade parents will be the stagehands.
Thursday, December 15, 2011 at from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Museum of Science and Industry – the Monday and Tuesday after school classes and the Wednesday before school classes perform at museum. Look for field trip permission slips the first week of December.
Monday, January 16, 2012- family food night at Moretti’s benefitting EIM. Students will perform. Stay tuned for specifics on this event.
Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 6:00-7:30 p.m.- District 54 showcases its schools during Open Enrollment Evening at Addams Junior High. Kindergarten through fourth grade students who play Twinkle and above will perform between 6:00 and 6:45. Parents will also be needed to speak to interested parents about the EIM program at Dooley.
Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the morning at Conant High School- Solo and Ensemble Contest- required for 5th and 6th graders, optional for 4th graders. Students have the opportunity to play a solo with a piano accompanist for a professional string player who will give encouragement and suggestions. Students are assigned a 10 or 15 minute slot for their performance during the morning.
Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church (1000 S. Springinsguth Road)- EIM spring concert. Please be there at 6:30 for tuning and warm up. Second grade parents will be the stage hands.

***** New Date!!! September 7, 2011- Parent meeting- adults only please. 7:35-8:20 (Directly following Curriculum Night) in the gym. !!!This meeting is required for parents of all EIM students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.
September 12, 2011- Violin Lessons begin this week. You will be notified by September 7 of your child’s Violin Lesson day and time. If you have scheduling requests, email me as soon as possible at annedonahue@sd54.org
September 26, 2011- Group Classes begin. You will be notified by September 7 of you child’s Group Class assignment
December 13, 2011- Winter Concert, 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church
April 24, 2012- Spring Concert, 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church
I hope that you had a relaxing and musical summer. We will be jumping right into the new school year with our annual performance at Schaumburg’s SeptemberFest. Our concert will be on Labor Day Monday, September 5, 2011 at 2:30- please be there by 2:00 for tuning and warm-up.
