Principal’s Message- March 14, 2018
It is hard to believe that I have been the principal of Dooley Elementary School for almost four years. When I came here, I quickly learned that Dooley School was a special place to be. I was given a wonderful gift to work with your children. Their presence here at Dooley has meant so much to me. I get such joy from watching our students develop daily into socially and academically talented youngsters. Every smile and “Good Morning” from each of your children has brightened every day I have been here.
As I look back, I am so proud of our achievements. We have come such a long way. We have dedicated ourselves to creating a culture that is student-centered, collaborative, data-driven and results-oriented while embracing our district’s mission statement of Ensuring Student Success. We have risen to all of our challenges and made Dooley School a high achieving school.
It is because of our amazing Dooley staff, and knowing how much we have grown as a community, that I feel comfortable telling you that I will be leaving Dooley School at the conclusion of this school year to become the principal of Lakeview School in Hoffman Estates. The district will interview candidates for the Dooley principal job and when they find someone, I will help that individual become acclimated to our students, staff, community and culture.
Thank you for the gift of your support. There are not enough kind words to express how much I have relied on the time and talents of our school parents to enhance the educational experience provided to each of the children. Whether you are a member of the PTA board, running a committee or helping at school – you touch the lives of so many!
