Principal’s Message- May 3, 2019
Our students were happy the rain stayed away long enough for outdoor recess at lunch today. We had many Peak Moments this week to celebrate at Dooley. Here are a few highlights from our week:
- One of our 4th grade students, Charlotte, received first place in the D54 Spanish Speech Contest on Thursday. Charlotte was recognized for this accomplishment at Thursday’s Board of Education Meeting.
- Our kindergarteners put on a fun and engaging music performance on Wednesday. They also had lots of beautiful artwork displayed.
- Dooley’s Rube Goldberg Club participated in the D54 STEM Showcase. They received the Helping Hand award for teamwork and collaboration at the Rube Goldberg Competition.
We hope you enjoy the nice weather this weekend!

During Teacher and Staff Appreciation week, the Dooley PTA is asking parents to bring breakfast items next Thursday, May 9, and desserts on Friday, May 10. Please deliver food and drinks to the front office before 7:30 a.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. on Friday. If you would like to contribute, please email Sarah Mawhorr at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text her at 847-687-0835.
