Principal’s Message- October 4, 2019

Photos of our walk and our collection for Anderson Animal Shelter

What a celebration it was to see so many families out for our Anderson’s Animal Walk-A-Thon on Tuesday!  We are so thankful for all of the donations that have come in so far.  We will continue to collect thru October 17th!

This Week’s Feature Classroom is Mrs. Stob’s room 115!  Please see the highlight these students wrote about their week:

One highlight from our week was combining classes for an empathy presentation. We learned how to stop and think about how others feel. And we learned about our peers. Last, we learned how to show empathy towards others. The best part was learning about how others feel and that we all can feel differently about the same things!

Another highlight from our week was the crazy card challenge. We did this during P.E. We took one card and we had to do the activity that was on the card. One of us had to do a pencil roll exercise for two laps across the gym. Eight of us had to play duck, duck, goose! Some of us had to high five another person one hundred times! The best part was that we got to make cards for others to choose!

We are looking forward to seeing families at conferences on Thursday and Friday.  As a reminder, Thursday, October 10th is a half-day for students.  Dismissal is at 11:40.

Please mark your calendars for our first meeting on Tuesday, October 15th at 6:00 p.m. During this meeting, you can learn more about PTA sponsored events, sign up to volunteer, and much more.
