August 18, 2021

My top priority as your school principal is to keep our students and staff safe. To that end, on Wednesday, August 18, after school hours, our staff will be participating in a hard lockdown training at the school with the  Schaumburg Police Department.

No students will be involved in this drill. There will be children on the playground (weather permitting) as part of the after-school run by KASPER but they are not participating in this drill exercise, which will be confined to a few classrooms on the opposite side of the building.

However, I wanted to make you aware of the drill because there will be multiple police officers and vehicles at our school during that time. Police will have a sign out front stating that there is a drill in progress, for anyone who may drive by and be concerned.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Pizza Lunch

Please see the Pizza Lunch Form for updated dates.  We apologize for some errors in dates on the initial form.  If you have already sent in a completed form, it will be returned to your child with the updated (pink) form attached.  Paper forms (pink) will be sent home tomorrow.  Any questions, please call us at 847-357-6250.

Arrival and Dismissal Safety

As a reminder, families should only cross at the intersection of Norwood and Lowell Lanes, where our crossing guard is present.  It is important that we do not make 3 point turns on Lowell Lane.

The construction on Bourne and Norwood was delayed today but will likely begin tomorrow.  Please keep this in mind when planning your route.
