Happy International Dot Day! Dooley Dragons read The Dot by the fabulous Peter H. Reynolds in Library and were inspired to "just make a dot and see where it takes you." These Dragons showed such colorful creativity. Katia's says, "You could insprire the whole world." Ms. Velasco can't wait to see more creations this week!

Words that made Ms. Velasco and Mrs. Martinez so happy: I wish I could work here! Amiyah went on to tell them she has already been picked to be a teacher and that she teaches her little sister. Ms. Velasco was able to share the good news that Amiyah can be a teacher and a librarian, like her! What a sweet moment to start the day!

We love when former Dragons come and visit! Julia and her dad visited with Ms. Velasco and donated a really interesting book that they picked up on their family trip to Alaska. The book is even inscribed to our school! How wonderful!

What a fantastic Back to School Night! It was so wonderful seeing our Dooley Family together again. We look forward to our first through sixth graders’ first day this upcoming Monday, August 17 and our kindergarteners’ first day on Monday, August 24!

Over the last few weeks, we raised money for St. Jude’s as part of the Student Ambassadors’ Community Service Project. We celebrated with a Karaoke Dance party!! Thank you Ambassadors, Mrs. Varney, Ms. Meservey, and to everyone who donated to St. Jude’s .
