This week was full of peak moments for our students. Student Ambassadors launched a coin challenge between grades to raise funds for the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. We will find out the final donation amount next week. Additionally, Library Club shared announcements about their favorite books and authors in celebration of Read Across America. Lastly, Club Unify students promoted Respect Week by raising awareness of Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Autism, Marfan Syndrome, and Fragile X Syndrome. During our assembly today, Ms. Weiss, Mr. Pappas, and Mrs. Chua took time to talk about the many different ways people communicate and how we can respect these differences. What a fun and informative week we had!
Each spring, students in District 54 take federally mandated assessments (IAR) designed to help school districts understand how our students are growing academically. This year, the English Language Arts and Math Assessment for grades 3-8 will be given at school between March 6th and March 24th. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any specific questions. Our schedule is below:

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is available in English and Spanish. Note: the survey will time out and you will need to start over if you don’t finish in one sitting.
If you have more than one child, you may complete the survey for each child. You will be asked to select your county and then your child’s school.
