It was a fantastic Fall week at Dooley School!
We look forward to the Dooley Fall Fest next Friday, October 25th where we will have Trunk or Treat, fall activities and some sweet treats! We are still in need of volunteers for this event, so please consider hosting a Trunk by signing up here, or volunteering at one of the activity stations here
Dual Language and Immersion families are invited to join us on Tuesday, October 22nd, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for the 2024 Dual Language and Immersion Information Night!
During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to experience a day in the life of an elementary or Jr. High dual language/immersion student, learn about the long-term benefits of the programs, including courses in D211 and the Seal of Biliteracy, and interact with alumni and educators in a Q&A panel.
The event will be held at the District 54 Professional Learning Center, 522 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg. To sign up for this event, please complete the RSVP form.
Dooley’s Halloween celebration will take place on the afternoon of Thursday, October 31st. Students should bring their costumes to school on that day. Costumes must go over their clothing. We will have a costume parade that begins at 1:15 PM, weather permitting. We will parade outside of the building exiting the front doors, down Norwood Street to Bradford and back to the school. Families are welcome to watch our parade from the designated area outside the front of the school OR line up along Norwood Street. Our staff and students enjoy spectators along the route. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of our children, please keep in mind the following considerations:
A party arranged by the PTA volunteers will take place following the parade, in classrooms. Only party volunteers who are assigned to support classrooms will be allowed in the building during parties. We look forward to a fun Halloween!
On Wednesday October 30th, the Education Foundation has partnered with QP to offer Dine to Donate. Please dine, donate, and make a difference by visiting QP to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting D54 Education Foundation. 15% of proceeds will be donated to The Education Foundation.
