Our 2021-2022 Student Ambassadors have collaborated all year to bring our school community together, support local organizations and spread positive messages. We are so proud of their dedication and leadership!
Last Monday, Ms. Frieders, our Student Ambassador facilitator, was recognized by Superintendent DuRoss, our District 54 Cabinet members and our Board of Education with an Ensuring Student Success award in the Team category. District 54 Student Ambassador facilitators were recognized for their excellent work developing student leaders. This award is well-deserved and we are extremely proud of their hard work and dedication to our students and community. Additionally, Ms. Frieders was also the Ensuring Student Success recipient of the Early Career Educator Award. We enjoyed celebrating her for the excellent work she does at Dooley School!
Our highlight this week is Mrs. Sylvia Kim. Mrs. Kim is a support teacher at Dooley. Students have been busy learning and collaborating during acceleration! We hope you enjoy Mrs. Kim’s Highlight.

During April, information about enrolling for band (trombone, trumpet, clarinet, flute) and orchestra (cello, viola, or violin) is being distributed to 4th and 5th grade students. Parents and students are invited to attend one of the enrollment meetings (below), where the instruments will be demonstrated and more information will be available. Parents and students should try to attend the meeting at their neighborhood junior high, but can attend whichever meeting works best:
