Dear Dooley Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to officially introduce myself and share my excitement about serving as the next building principal at Dooley Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year.  The District 54 School Board of Education approved my appointment last night and I am honored to partner with your great community and lead the Dooley students and staff next school year.  

I’ve had the privilege of working in School District 54 for the last 17 years. I began my career in District 54 as a dual language teacher at MacArthur International Spanish Academy. I later went on to work as an instructional coach for the Department of Language and Culture. As a teacher and coach, I was inspired to continue my education which led me to acquire an EL Endorsement from National Louis University and a  Masters of Education in Leadership and Organization from the University of Illinois. These past 4 years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal at Nerge Elementary School. Due to my years of experience in the district, I know firsthand how the curriculum, instructional practices, and positive culture make District 54 schools exemplary places to send your children.

Personally, my husband Brent and I live in Park Ridge with our five year old son, Samuel, and our two year old twin daughters, Hailey and Madeline. We are excited for our son to start Kindergarten this fall and we are embracing all of the energy and excitement that comes with having twin toddlers!

In the coming months, I will be working closely with Mrs. Schlicher to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for the 2023-2024 school year.  Additionally, I look forward to getting to know the entire Dooley community.  Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at [email protected] to share with me a little about your family and what you are most proud of at Dooley.  I am confident that together we will provide an exceptional educational experience for the students at Dooley School!
