It was another amazing week at Dooley School! We had such a wonderful time on Friday morning at our Donuts with Grownups event. A very special thank you to our Dooley PTA for their planning and organization. We also had our October PBIS Assembly this week where we set goals for the upcoming month and celebrated our students for following the 3 B’s. We also had a special visit from Dudley and sang our new school theme song, We are ONE!
The Village of Schaumburg is collaborating with Dooley School to educate the community on the environmental, health, and congestion-easing benefits from bicycling and walking to school. We encourage students to identify a safe biking or walking route to school and promote participation that will sustain healthy habits beyond this biannual event. Bicycling and walking to school offer many health and environmental benefits for children, improves pedestrian safety, and helps to reduce traffic and congestion.
District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each child, but also their social-emotional wellbeing. Your insight as a parent/guardian is essential in creating the most well rounded picture of your student’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 will send families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each child to the District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency on Monday, September 30th. The window to complete the survey will close on Friday, October 18th.
