It was such a wonderful week at Dooley school! Our students did a great job being responsible, respectful, and safe during our lockdown drill on Thursday morning.

Thank you to all of our families for joining us on Thursday at the 5th Annual Anderson Walk-a-thon. We appreciate your generosity and donations to the Anderson Humane. We know there will be a lot of happy animals when our team drops off the supplies. We would also like to shine the light on our amazing Specials Team for making this event successful, fun, and engaging for our community! We also want to thank our PTA for providing delicious popsicles after the walk!

Walk or Roll to School Day: October 9

We invite you and your family to participate in Walk or Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 9. The village is collaborating schools to educate the community on the environmental, health, and congestion-easing benefits from bicycling and walking to school. Our focus is to encourage students to identify a safe biking or walking route to school and promote participation that will sustain healthy habits beyond this biannual event. Bicycling and walking to school offers many health and environmental benefits for children, improves pedestrian safety, and helps to reduce traffic and congestion.

2024 Personal Assessment of Core Competency

District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each child, but also their social-emotional wellbeing. Your insight as a parent/guardian is essential in creating the most well rounded picture of your student’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 will send families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each child to the District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency on Monday, September 30th.  The window to complete the survey will close on Friday, October 18th. Thank you in advance for participating in this survey, as we believe the home-school collaboration is critical to best support your child’s overall well-being.
