We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving break! We are so impressed with our Dragons for doing their very best on the reading and math MAP assessment this week. We will wrap up testing this week and will continue to work towards meeting our goals!
Thank you for taking the time to connect with our teachers during conferences. We are so thankful to each of you. We truly value your partnership and support!
Our staff highlight this week is Ms. Giordano’s 2nd Grade Class. We hope you enjoy reading all about Room 109!
Next week, December 4-8, is Inclusive Schools Week and it celebrates the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to all children regardless of differences in abilities, gender, ethnicity, language or health status. Inclusive Schools Week also provides an important opportunity for educators, students, and parents to discuss what else needs to be done in order to ensure that schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children. This year’s theme for Inclusive Schools Week is Draw Me In! To show unity across Dooley school, we will celebrate with a theme each day of Inclusive Schools Week.
Next Friday is our holiday gift shop! This is a Dooley student favorite each year. Your child will be coming home with an envelope next week to bring money to the shop. Rather not send your student with cash? Sign up for a gift voucher here and print it to send with your student. Students must have a printed copy to use at the shop. Preview items at the shop here and print a wish list to help your student write down their shopping list.
Save the date! Holiday movie night is December 15th. More info with RSVP will be sent home early next week.
New winter styles added! Head over to our spiritwear store to see all the new cold weather items we have available. Show your Dooley pride and help earn money for the PTA. Click here to order!

Each year the Department of Language and Culture, along with the Schaumburg Park District, presents a Multicultural Event. The 2024 event will take place on Saturday, March 2, at the Community Recreation Center (CRC) and will showcase the diversity represented by the students of District 54. During the event, student groups have the opportunity to give performances that reflect various cultures. If your student is interested in participating, please complete the Performance Interest Form by December 6th. You will be notified whether or not your performance has been chosen to participate by email by December 13th.
