Superpowers Shine Graphic

This week at Dooley, we celebrated World Gratitude Day! Our students had the opportunity to reflect on what they are grateful for in their very own stop-drop-and-gratitude journal. We will continue this tradition every Friday this school year. We also want our wonderful Dooley families to know how grateful we are for YOU and all of the support you provide to our Dooley students and community. Thank you!

Our spotlight for the week is Ms. Meservey. Ms. Meservey is our 5/6 Classroom Teacher. We hope you enjoy reading Room 117’s Highlights!

Dooley Walk-4-Anderson

Come join us at Dooley for our 4th Annual Walk-4-Anderson. Please help our furry friends at Anderson Humane by kindly donating any of the following items; dog or cat food, treats, paper towels, cat litter, dog or cat toys, no-tip stainless steel bowls. The event will take place at Dooley School on Thursday, September 28th from 4:00-5:00 PM. We hope to see you there!

Walk or Roll to School Day: October 4

We invite you and your family to participate in Walk or Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 4. The village is collaborating schools to educate the community on the environmental, health, and congestion-easing benefits from bicycling and walking to school. Our focus is to encourage students to identify a safe biking or walking route to school and promote participation that will sustain healthy habits beyond this biannual event. Bicycling and walking to school offers many health and environmental benefits for children, improves pedestrian safety, and helps to reduce traffic and congestion.

2023 Personal Assessment of Core Competency

District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each child, but also their social-emotional wellbeing. Your insight as a parent/guardian is essential in creating the most well rounded picture of your student’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 will send families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each child to the District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency on Monday, October 2nd .  The survey will remain open until Friday, October 20th.  Thank you in advance for participating in this survey, as we believe the home-school collaboration is critical to best support your child’s overall well-being.
