December 13, 2021

Thank you to all of our families who stopped at Cinnaholic on Wednesday.  Dooley PTA received $150 from this dining event.  We hope you enjoyed a cinnamon roll!

This week we would like to highlight Mrs. Bach’s 2nd grade dual language class.  Students in room 112 had fun this week being agricultural engineers!  They worked on designing, creating, testing, and questioning to create the best pollinator for different types of plants.  We hope you enjoy the  Room 112 Highlight!

Free SHIELD Testing

District 54 is offering free COVID-19 SHIELD drive-up testing to all students and staff. Please note that ANY student or staff member can get a test regardless of their participation in the weekly SHIELD surveillance testing.  Please note:

  • The test is the same saliva-based test used in surveillance testing.
  • Individual being tested never leaves their car.
  • Results are available within 24 hours.
  • Individuals will be contacted with a phone call from the District office the next business day following testing with results.

Testing is available all school days from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at School District 54 – Rafferty Administration Center located at 524 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. More information can be found here:  https://sd54.org/shield-testing/

COVID Dashboard

With suburban Cook County now in a level of high community transmission of COVID-19 (Cook County Department of Public Health), District 54 has decided to create COVID Dashboards on each school’s website to provide families and staff with a transparent summary of instances of COVID-19 reported to District 54. A positive case indicates that the student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Please report cases of COVID-19 to our school so that we can initiate contact tracing. Parents/guardians of students identified as close contacts will be contacted directly to discuss next steps. District 54 will update these dashboards by 3 p.m. on Fridays when school is in session.
