Buddies showing others how to write their name in Japanese

Today, students had a virtual PBIS assembly to recognize all of their hard work during the last few weeks.  Additionally, our dual language students partnered up with general education classrooms today to teach peers how to write their names in Japanese.  It was a fun to see students work together and learn new things.

We would like to thank all of our many volunteers who helped to set up, wrap, and work this year’s PTA Holiday Shop.  Students were excited to purchase items for friends and family.  We couldn’t have done this without the support of our families!

This week’s highlight is Mrs. Kim’s 2nd grade dual language classroom.  Students read the story, Have You Filled A Bucket Today, and discussed how they can spread kindness by filling other people’s buckets with love and appreciation.  Hope you enjoy seeing how these little Dooley Dragons spread kindness! COVID Dashboard

With suburban Cook County now in a level of high community transmission of COVID-19 (Cook County Department of Public Health), District 54 has decided to create COVID Dashboards on each school’s website to provide families and staff with a transparent summary of instances of COVID-19 reported to District 54. A positive case indicates that the student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Please report cases of COVID-19 to our school so that we can initiate contact tracing.
Parents/guardians of students identified as close contacts will be contacted directly to discuss next steps. District 54 will update these dashboards by 3 p.m. on Fridays when school is in session. Dooley COVID Dashboard
