Students with letters for Veterans and Staff with mugs for American Education Week

Today wraps up American Education Week.  We would like to express our gratitude to our Dooley staff.  Their hard work, dedication and kindness make our school an amazing place to work and learn each day.  Additionally, we extend our thanks to our students and families for their ongoing support and partnership.

Our highlight is Ms. Nowak’s 2nd grade classroom.  This month, Dooley students have taken time to focus on sharing gratitude.  We hope you enjoy reading about what they are thankful for in the Room 109 Highlight!

As a reminder there is no school next week.  We look forward to connecting with families at conferences on Monday and Tuesday. Be sure to stop in the gym for the Book Fair and don’t forget to check out our lost and found table in the main hallway.

MAP Testing

Winter NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing begins the week of November 28th. All students take one reading and one math assessment.  We know that this data point, along with other data gathered in the classrooms can help us to better understand how students are progressing and how to best support them.  Thank you for your continued support at home to ensure your child can do their best and show their learning. We are excited to see the growth of our Dooley Dragons!

Parking changes

The Village of Schaumburg has approved changes in parking on Lowell Lane and Norwood Lane.  Traffic can be congested on these streets with cars and buses.  The changes in parking can ensure traffic flow is smooth and the safety of our students is prioritized.  These changes will go into effect on November 21st.  Please see the image below to familiarize yourself with the adjustments.
